For their 7th fragrance, Olfactive Studio have taken inspiration from a photograph of the famous Sheats-Goldstein house in L.A. Built in the 1960s by architect John Lautner the house is built into the hillside, creating a seamless link between the natural environment and a man-made structure.

Panorama opens with an unusual savoury accord of spicy wasabi, creating a hot haze that shimmers over a lush canopy of cut grass, bamboo and lemon.

Bright fig illuminates the densely green undergrowth before fading into a smooth warm base of myrrh and labdanum whilst fir balsam echoes the urban rainforest of the opening notes.

Panorama, an olfactory view like no other.

All about this fragrance

Vibe check

Panorama suits a wearer who likes their scent to feel alive and slightly architectural: crisp, green and a little tense at first, then warmer and more resinous as it settles. It works best in close, creative settings where its sharp vegetal opening can read as fresh intelligence rather than sweetness.

How to wear

Best in mild to warm weather, Panorama has enough lift for spring and summer without turning thin. Two to three sprays are usually enough, as the wasabi-galbanum opening can project strongly before the fir and labdanum smooth it out on skin; in humid air it feels especially lush and vivid.

Who it’s for

For lovers of green fragrances with bite, especially those drawn to galbanum, violet leaf, fir and resinous woods. It will appeal to people who prefer unusual, modern compositions with a natural, slightly savory edge rather than soft florals or sweet woods.

The nose

Clément Gavarry is known for a polished, contemporary style that often balances clarity with texture. In Panorama, he uses an unusual wasabi accord to push the green theme into sharper, more modern territory, avoiding the familiar clichés of classic leafy compositions. A graduate of ISIPCA and based in New York, Gavarry has worked across fine fragrance with an eye for structure and diffusion. Panorama shows his ability to make a bold idea feel wearable: the opening is vivid and peppery, but the drydown settles into fir, myrrh and labdanum with a smooth, composed finish.

Collaborators

Céline Verleure, Olfactive Studio’s founder and creative director, shaped the fragrance concept by selecting the photograph that served as the sole brief for the perfumer. Her role was to translate the brand’s visual language into scent, guiding the project’s urban-jungle mood and the dialogue between nature and architecture.

Olfactive Studio’s story

Olfactive Studio builds fragrances from photography, treating each scent as an olfactory interpretation of a single image. The house favors unisex compositions, creative independence and an artistic, image-led process over conventional market testing, giving its perfumes a distinctly conceptual but wearable identity.

Panorama’s concept

Panorama was created from a photograph of the Sheats-Goldstein House in Los Angeles, whose hillside architecture suggested a seamless meeting of built structure and wild landscape. That image became the starting point for a green, high-contrast composition: wasabi and cut grass against fir balsam, myrrh and labdanum, like an urban rainforest seen from above.

Extra info

Panorama is Olfactive Studio’s seventh fragrance and is often noted for its unusual wasabi accord. The bottle is paired with the photograph that inspired the scent, making the visual source part of the presentation. It has been praised as one of the house’s standout creations for its bold green character.
